Introduction to Out of Care Program
The Out of Care program provides children between 6 to 12 years old with a balanced combination of academic enrichment, physical activity, and creative exploration. Before and after school, children can participate in a wide variety of scheduled activities designed to foster learning, social skills, and physical development. From science experiments and robotics to outdoor play, yoga, and music, the program is tailored to meet children’s interests and developmental needs.
Course Highlights:
📍 Reading Center
Children have the opportunity to enjoy a reading center where they can immerse themselves in books, enhancing their reading skills and fostering a love for literature. This quiet space encourages independent reading as well as group discussions about the books.
📍 Science, Cooking, and Calendar-Based Activities
Engage in hands-on science experiments and cooking activities that enhance children’s understanding of the world around them. These activities are integrated into the curriculum through calendar-based projects, ensuring children get to explore different topics based on seasons and their interests.
📍 Outdoor Play and Nature Walks
Children spend time playing outside, participating in nature walks, and exploring the outdoors. These activities promote physical health and give children an appreciation for nature, fostering curiosity and environmental awareness.
📍 Music and Dance
Through music and dance, children develop rhythm, coordination, and creativity. These expressive activities help with emotional expression and allow children to explore different forms of art in a fun, supportive environment.
📍 Yoga Practice
Our yoga sessions are designed to introduce children to mindfulness, flexibility, and relaxation techniques. These classes help children manage stress, improve focus, and build strength in a calm and enjoyable setting.
📍 Field Trips and Special Activities
Children will have the opportunity to participate in field trips that expand their learning beyond the classroom. Whether it’s exploring nature, visiting museums, or attending special events, these trips complement the educational experience.
